How does supers help in My Brute?

There is total of 9 supers in My Brute.

Bomb
Throw a bomb to damage the opponent by between 10-20 damage each. Bomb is a super and can only be used once. Will hit the enemy brute plus any pets on their side. A bomb will also break any nets that pets are currently held in.

Cry of the Damned
Makes your opponent's pets abandon the fight. Cry of the Damned is a Super and will only be used once. Sometimes it scares only some of the pets and can be used again on the remaining ones

Deluge
When used, your Brute leaps in the air, takes up to three random weapons from your reserve, and rains them down on your opponent. Damage based on the weapons used. Deluge is a Super and will only be used once.


Fierce Brute

When used the next attack's damage increases 100% Fierce Brute is a Super and will only be used once. It does not affect thrown weapons.


Hammer
Grab the enemy, jump up in the air and slam them down to the ground for a 400% damage attack. Hammer is a Super and will only be used once.


Hypnosis
Makes all of your opponent's pets change over to your side of the fight. If both Brutes have the Hypnosis super, the first one to use it will gain all of their opponent's pets, and the second one to use it will then gain all of the pets, as they will all have been owned by the first Brute.

Net
Immobilises your opponent or one of your opponent's pets in a net, disabling them and preventing them from participating in the fight, until the trapped victim suffers damage from any source. Immobilised pets will not be attacked by a Brute's melee or thrown attacks, or by an opposing pet, but may be freed by the area effect damage of a Bomb. This Super, when combined with Fierce Brute and a heavy weapon, can lead to an unanswered attack which inflicts significant damage (or even a K.O.).




Thief
This special skill can be used more then once. They may steal one another if both combatants have the same skill.



Tragic Potion
Heals yourself 12-32 health points (depends on your life)

My Brute ($4.99; Free)

My Brute is a fun way to battle it out with others online and move up as a top Brute. It combines personalization of avatars with the online gaming community on the iPhone. If you like games like Mafia Wars/Mob Wars, read on. This app is probably for you! Presentation This game is very well presented. I really like the cartoony feel to the game with the avatars and the fighting in the arenas. The graphics are simple but impressive. It has a sort of anime feel to it. The theme is fun and colorful with lots of options for your Brute to be as colorful as you want. The animations of the Brutes and animals are fun to watch, but again simple. I think the developers did a great job on this part of the game.

Gameplay

There are a few different parts to this game. The first is creating a Brute. This is fun because there are a lot of different choices on what to make your Brute look like. The developers shied away from your typical looking person and went for the more anime-looking characters which I really like. You start out with the option to make three Brutes, but you can unlock up to eight throughout your gameplay.

Once you have your Brute created, you are ready to fight. You are asked if you have a master. If you know someone else who plays My Brute, you can ask them for their Master code, and you will unlock special powers for your Brute. Because none of my friends play My Brute, I was able to search online for a master code and unlock some powers. If you don’t have a master code, don’t fret, you can continue to play the game. I played the first few days without a master and then got one so that I could continue growing in strength. You also want to choose what type of fighter/dojo you want. Each type has a different advantage, so choose wisely as it will affect your skills.

Now you are ready for battle. Choose from 3 different opponents that pop up from the server, sometimes close to your skill level, other times, not so much. But even the skill level doesn’t show everything since you cannot see if they have special weapons or a helper, which can bring down health significantly. In all reality, it’s a crap shoot until you get into the arena and start the fight. But once the fight starts, there is nothing you can do. Watch as you battle it out with your opponent and hope that your Brute comes out victorious!!

These are just the basics of the game. There are a lot of unlockable items as you play which can help enhance game play and help your Brute win more battles. The more you play, the more you discover for your Brute!

Controls

There is very little in the way of controls in this game since you aren’t actually fighting. Everything is touch based and very simple to navigate through. No guessing here; just touch and go. Simple iPhone style.

Suggestions

I think the big miss on this game was an instructional guide. I have never played a dojo styled game before, so I was a bit confused on how to obtain a master or get upgrades and more strength/power for my Brute. I also think that for this genre, $4.99 is a bit on the high side. I think it would be more reasonbly priced at $2.99 since there is little “game play” to it. Other than that, this game is very well layed out and simple to pick up and play. It has continuous replay value as you can always battle another player out there.

Conclusion

As seen throughout my review, this game is simple, yet enjoyable. For me it is great eye candy with the anime looking Brutes and animation. I really enjoyed it and will continue growing my Brute to be a lean, mean, fighting machine. If you’re having questions as to whether this genre is for you, try out Brute lite. It will give you a flavor of the game and help you figure out if you’re willing to pay the current $4.99 price.

How to Level up in My Brute easily with MyBruteManager

I mentioned about this system before but this time we are going to use it to level up 2 different brutes with 1 one modem reset.

First I'm going to develop my first brute: porsuk421

Step 1.
Download mybrutemanager and geasemonkey. If you dont know how to use them click here (soon an article is going to be added)

Step 2.
Reset your modem.

Step 3.

Go to your adobe flash settings:

You can choose data.mybrute.com and click delete site or you can delete all sites if you dont need other caches alo.


Make sure that data.mybrute.com is not shown in the window anymore.

Step 4.

Go to your brute's page (http://yourbrutename.mybrute.com)

and enter your new pupils name. Click on validate.

fight with you brute,

go your new pupils cell,

then click on his master name to see if your new pupil could give an experience point to his master.


it seems that everything ok :) (sometimes your modem gives back an IP that you had used before, as a result your ne pupil doesnt give any exp. points. In this case dont go ahead return to the first step and restart with resetting your modem)

If everything is ok, then return back to your new pupils cellule.


click on this button to add your new pupil to your brute list. You are going to fight with him unil 4th or 5th level (or you can leave it in the 3rd level but spending 2 days on it will give you another +1exp) and continue to gain some more experience points so it is better to keep it in the list. If you have around 200 pupils like me it is hard to keep their names in mind ^^

After you add your new pupil to the brute list your pupil should be listed at the bottom.

Before going on next step you got to add the weakest enemies listed here to your enemy list, because we are not going to visit arena for battles. We are going to use direct battle button to save from time.
When you get the weakest brutes' names you can go to their cellules and then add them one by one to the enemy list. For more info about it click here. (soon an article is going to be added)

Now I continue as thinking that you have put the weakes brutes of at least 1st and 2nd level to your list and you are ready to make your first 6 fights.


Choose the first weakest enemy from the list... (even you setup mybrutemanager to choose the opponent automatically directly from your enemy list sometimes it doesnt. So it is better for you to choose is manually.)

click on start fight. If it is not defined else in the mybrutemanager's settings the fight screen is going to be skipped and in 1 seconds your fight is going to be ended. Choose other 5 opponents also one after other. And woala...

Our new pupil is on the 3rd level... this means that after a modem reset and flash cahce clear we give a total of 3 experience points to our main brute:


Now, lets come to your other brute: mine is windofeast

reset your flash cache as told above on 3rd step; do the same steps told above without reseting your modem...

As you see here the pupil I created for windofeast with clearing only my flash cache has also developped to 3rd level and it gave a total of 3 exp to my brute...

This system works only for 2 different brutes... If you have a 3rd one you got to reset your modem back again :) Have fun...

Pay for My Brute on iPhone or not?

At the moment there is two versions of my brute. One on the internet open to all players and it is free... and another on iphone, different from the web version and includes more features.
It is written on Bulkypix site that "Players start from scratch (the game is not connected to the online version) and try to become the strongest Brute in the world." So, it is understood that they use /used the web game as a big advertisement for themselves and it seems that they left it to death...

Mybrute.com is still a top 500 site but it is dropping down. As no new features are included on the web based game people become bored of it. Finding pupils is not as easy as before, when you lvl up it is more hard to gain more experience points so even you fight everyday it takes months to reach to the next level. So it need some urgent touches to the game. But bulkyfix invests on iPhone version;


On iPhone My Brute allows you to:
